Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must adhere to the following eligibility criteria to apply for a recommendation by UWC Bermuda to a United World College:

  1. Must be between 16-18 year of age as of September 1st, 2025;
  2. Must hold Bermuda status or must be deemed to be Bermudian upon their 18th birthday; and
  3. Must have completed at least five (5) years of schooling in Bermuda (not necessarily consecutive years and may be at any time during their primary, middle or secondary education).

UWC Bermuda offers financial assistance to those accepted students on a needs basis.  

Applicants who do not satisfy the above criteria may either apply via (i) the UWC Global Selection Programme. More details can be found at www.uwc.org/gsp. Please note that applicants via GSP forgo financial assistance, or (ii) the national committee of your citizenship. Please check the eligibility criteria of that national committee on their website.  If you have specific questions about other national committees, we will try to assist you via our own network.

Please note that although any potential student may apply via GSP, an application through that avenue by a student who would otherwise be eligible to apply to UWC Bermuda may not also apply via UWC Bermuda’s process.
